Terms of Service
By downloading or using ColorWander ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
The app is provided "as is"
ColorWander is a small indie app built by one developer. It is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
License to use the app
You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use ColorWander on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) which governs all apps distributed through the App Store.
Pricing
ColorWander offers three purchase options through the App Store, plus a permanent free tier:
- Free — the Classic layout, dominant-color extraction, 2K export, and gallery saving stay free forever, with no time limit and no account required.
- Pro Monthly — auto-renewing monthly subscription with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Unlocks all 14 layouts, Live Photo card export, literary captions, and 4K / lossless export.
- Pro Yearly — auto-renewing yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Same Pro features as Monthly; lower effective price per month.
- Pro Lifetime — one-time purchase covering all current and future v1.x features. Major version upgrades (v2.0+) may require a separate purchase.
Free trial. The 7-day free trial begins when you start a Monthly or Yearly subscription. Cancel any time before the trial ends in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and you will not be charged.
Auto-renewal. Monthly and Yearly subscriptions auto-renew at the price shown in the App Store unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is billed to your Apple ID. You can manage or cancel at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted via reportaproblem.apple.com or your App Store account; the developer cannot issue refunds directly.
Actual prices are displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by storefront, currency, and Apple's pricing tiers. Specific amounts are not listed in this document so that price-tier adjustments do not require a terms update.
Your content
You retain all rights to the photos you bring to the app and the cards you export. ColorWander claims no ownership over your photos or exported cards. We do not upload them anywhere (see Privacy Policy).
Literary quotes
The app includes an optional Literary caption mode. Each rendered caption preserves the original author and work attribution shown in-app.
Third-party fonts
The bundled LXGW WenKai font is licensed under SIL OFL v1.1. You may not extract and redistribute the font file as a standalone product. Using it inside the app is fully permitted under the license.
The bundled offline city lookup data is derived from GeoNames cities1000, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. The data is provided as-is and is used only to produce best-effort city labels.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app (except where legally permitted).
- Attempt to extract bundled resources (fonts, corpora) and redistribute them outside the app in violation of their respective licenses.
- Use the app to create content that violates any law, infringes intellectual property, or otherwise harms others.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will update the version date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app. Apple is not liable either, per the standard EULA linked above. If you are unhappy with the app, your sole remedy is to stop using it and request a refund from Apple.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer is based, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
